Description

The District has an anticipated opening for a Middle School Monitor/ Floater through Mission One.  The successful candidate must be willing to be hired by Mission One.

Candidate's main responsibility will be monitoring 3 lunch periods. Monitor will manage moving students through the lunch line process, promote appropriate behavior among students throughout the lunch periods, and facilitate efficient dismissal at the end of lunch periods. Individual will be assigned hall duty and classroom coverage when lunches are not in session. 
We are looking for someone who will be comfortable in being the "up front" monitor who handles the microphone to call students to the lunch lines, call students to return trays, and call tables at dismissal. Individual must engage with students in a respectful manner and alert administrators of any concerns that they will then handle.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 60 credits of college coursework in education or related field to hold substitute certification.
Strong public speaking skills and communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel.
Successful experience working with children.
Office and computer skills to assist in office settings.
Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. Citizenship or legal resident alien status.
Required drug screening.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBLIES:
Responsible for helping to maintain orderly conduct and discipline in classroom.
Able to provide temporary substitute coverage in classrooms as needed.
Assists in all office related duties.
Understands and maintains security protocols of the district and school.
Participates in in-service training as assigned
Performs other duties as assigned
