Substitute Cosmetology Instructor
The Cosmetology State Board (not ODE) requires any person working with students in the Cosmetology lab to have a Cosmetology instructor license. This is an add-on to the Cosmetology license and can be referenced at http://who.pho.to/go.php?domain=cos.ohio.gov
When looking at a COS license we should see the following three endorsements:
COS. Cosmetologist may provide hair, skin and nail services.
COSM. Managing Cosmetologist may provide hair, skin and nail services and manage any type salon.
COSI. Cosmetology instructor may teach hair, skin and nail services in an Ohio licensed school.
A substitute teaching license is also required
