Description
This Special Education Teacher must hold a Professional Educator License and a Special Education endorsement valid in Illinois.
This teacher will:
- Collaborate with general education teachers and administration
- Provide direct instruction to special needs students
- Develop Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) per student, which align to Common Core Standards
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate instruction for special education students
- Utilize Differentiated Instruction
- Utilize a variety of instructional methods
- Continual review of student data
- Utilize classroom paraprofessional according to the ISBE guidelines
- Compile, maintain, and file all required reports
- Maintain appropriate contact with parents to enrich student performance
Salary in accordance with experience and the Professional Negotiations Agreement (PNA) Contract.
