Schools must have effective substitutes who will take the responsibility to ensure that the educational process is not interrupted when the regular teacher is absent.  As a substitute teacher applicant, you are asking to work with us in accomplishing our mission.  If you accept a substitute assignment in one of our schools, you should consider yourself a teacher with the responsibility that goes with the teacher assignment.

REQUIREMENT:  A high school diploma or GED must be uploaded to the application!  Applications will not be processed without!

REQUIREMENT:  All applicants must pass a criminal background check, be fingerprinted, and go through substitute teacher training/orientation.

**There will be a class offered on the following dates - 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Wednesday, August 26, 2020 
Wednesday, October 28, 2020
Wednesday, January 20, 2021 
Wednesday, March 24, 2021

If you have submitted an application AND proof of High School Graduation, please show up for training on the date that best meets your schedule.  No additional notification will be sent.**
The classes will be held at the Administration Office, 501 Mustang

Substitute teachers are considered at-will employees and no specific amount of work is guaranteed. 

After all requirements have been met, an individual’s name is added to the sub teacher list according to the current needs of the district and after several references has been contacted.
