Description
Position Summary:
The interventionist will help teachers and staff address and support the needs of struggling learners in the targeted core academic area of mathematics. The interventionist will identify and provide appropriate intervention strategies based on student need, participate on the building data team, analyze data and set measurable goals for student groups, manage small group or individualized interventions for students, and more.
Qualifications:
- NJ Elementary Certification required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Knowledge of assessment in mathematics
- Effectiveness in incorporating current research methodologies and instructional best practices regarding student performance and achievement
- Success providing support during the implementation of interventions
- Success providing support and modeling of quality record keeping practices
- Work collaboratively in a push-in and pull-out setting
- Create and maintain a school to home connection helping caretakers work on skills for supplemental at home work
- Communicate in a professional manner both orally and in writing
- Outstanding organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Other duties as needed
