Middle School ELA Teacher

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

·      Valid Michigan secondary teaching certificate

·         BA Certification Required and another core area certificate strongly preferred

·         Able to plan effective, engaging lessons and use data to plan and adjust instruction

·         Computer applications knowledge and proficiency necessary

·         Ability to interact positively with and motivate students

·         Must demonstrate strong work ethic, organizational skills, and classroom management skills

·         Ability to work with department colleagues to improve student outcomes

·         Strong belief that all students can become proficient readers and writers

·         Willing to accept responsibility for student learning and progress

·         Willingness to teach a lesson as part of the interview process
