MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Valid Michigan teaching certificate; DI or DX required; additional certification preferred

·         Ability to build positive relationships with students

·         Understands how to integrate literacy into science instruction

·         Ability to use data to inform classroom instruction

·         Understands how to integrate technology into science instruction

·         Ability to motivate and engage middle school students

·         Understands how to design and deliver engaging project-based science instruction

·         Ability to design and deliver instruction that allows students to be scientists

·         Understands the importance of nurturing and growing student curiosity and exploration

·         Knowledge of STEM instruction

·         Willing to accept responsibility for student learning

·         Willing to teach a lesson as part of the interview process
