Educational Interpreter - DHH (1.0 FTE)
The Appleton Area School District has two positions available for a 1.0 FTE (100%) Educational Interpreter for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH). Location: TBD
Educational interpreters for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing are employed for the purpose of assisting in instruction of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students by using manual communication (i.e., interpret instructions for student individually or in groups in accordance with specified instructional objectives). Educational interpreter accompanies hearing-impaired students to regular classes and translates verbal and written instructions using manual communication or sign language. Administration and professional staff member(s) with whom the educational interpreter works will cooperatively determine specific duties.

• DPI License: Educational Interpreter
Salary: Step 1: $23.58 per hour
Schedule: 35 hrs/wk (M-F)
