Part Time Distribution & Logistics Teacher for the Griffin Region College & Career Academy |
Hold or be Eligible for “Distribution & Logistics” 6-12 certification by the PSC
To be Eligible for the “Distribution & Logistics” certificate the candidate must:
Meet the following requirements:
Hold a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent; and
Pass one of the following Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC) Certified Logistics Technician program assessments: Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) or Certified Logistics Technician (CLT); and
Have at least two (2) years of occupational work experience in the field.
As outlined in GaPSC Rule 505-2-.08 CAREER, TECHNICAL AND AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION, paragraph (3)(e), applicants meeting all requirements with the exception of industry testing and/or licensure may be issued a three (3)-year Induction certificate in this area of specialization.
Be willing to affiliate with and complete a GaPSC-approved CTAE program offered as New Teacher Institute (NTI) or Georgia Teacher Academy for Preparation and Pedagogy (GATAPP) programs in order to attain a Professional teaching certificate.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor or higher degree in Supply Chain Logistics/ Transportation Management systems or closely related field.
Training experience with Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) or Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) certifications.
Knowledge of a computerized transportation management system.
Experience working with students in a Career & Technical Students Organization, SkillsUSA
Experience in an academic setting and previous exemplary teaching experience where student growth is documented

EVALUATION
Teachers of record will be evaluated utilizing the Teacher Keys Effectiveness System.
