POSITION: Speech Language Pathology Paraprofessional - West Fargo Public Schools

TERM:  9-month position, following the school calendar

SUMMARY: Speech-Language Pathology Paraprofessionals (SLPP) provide services to students with speech-language needs under the supervision of an Speech Language Pathologist.  SLPP’s serve students ranging in age from early childhood through grade twelve in the school setting.

Speech Language Pathology Paraprofessional Certificate of Completion which includes the following requirements:
Bachelor's or associates degree that incorporates:

a. Thirty hours of general college education including oral and written communication skills, mathematics, psychology and the biological and health sciences;
b. Thirty hours of college education in the area of speech-language pathology including classes in anatomy, physiology of speech, language, swallowing and hearing mechanisms, communication development, introduction of clinical processes, and fundamentals of human behavior management; and
c. A minimum of one hundred clock hours of fieldwork experience which is supervised by a qualified speech-language pathologist.

SALARY: Minimum of $21.77/hour, plus excellent benefits and paid time off, following the 2021-2022 Classified Support Staff Schedule.  West Fargo Public Schools offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package. The annual salary listed for this position is the base cash salary and excludes retirement contributions. For qualified classified positions, the district contributes 8.26% of the employee’s annual salary to the North Dakota Public Employees Retirement System (NDPERS).
