Secondary Special Education Teacher (7-12th Grades)

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. CDE License to teach Special Education with any or all Special Education Endorsements
2. Experience in working with students that have learning and/or physical disabilities
3. Successful completion of all mandated criminal background screenings and fingerprinting as required.
4. Must be able to develop IEP goals/objectives and behavioral plans
5. Manage students with disabilities
6. Supervise students in resource rooms or in the inclusion model
7. Collaborate with general special education staff
8. Must communicate effectively using oral and written language
9. Assist with Response to Intervention
10. Demonstrate skills in literacy instructional strategies including diagnosis and prescription of appropriate interventions and supports
11. Must be trained in or willing to be trained in a method of crisis management and assume a crisis team leadership role.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

1. 161 Day Contract 
2. 8.5 Hour Workday - 4 Day School Week
3. Salary according to District approved Salary Schedule - Certified Teacher
4. District will accept up to ten (10) years of experience
5. District contribution toward benefit package valued at $4,944 annually to include Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance
6. Leave days according to District Policy
