The Webster District is seeking an outstanding musician and director to continue the strong tradition of Marching Field Band Competition. 


This individual must possess both musical expertise and motivational leadership qualities that inspire students to excellence.

 

Position:  Marching Bank Directors- Part-Time (Posting number 2233-1995)

We strongly welcome candidates with the following qualifications:
In addition to possessing exemplary personal and professional qualities, the successful candidate will:
  1. Experience working with a competitive high school marching band season is essential.
  2. Candidates must possess strong organizational, leadership, intrapersonal and communication skills.
  3. Effectively plan and teach all facets of a competitive marching field band program
  4. Recruit and cultivate strong student participation
  5. Create venues  for active student leadership
  6. Promote the Marching Band, both in the district and in the greater community
  7. Secure continuing rehearsal sites and performance opportunities
  8. Monitor and uphold the district’s eligibility policy as it applies to participation in the Marching Band
  9. Work closely with parent volunteers and the booster organization to ensure appropriate use of funds and fund-raising
  10. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with district music teachers and Director of Fine Arts
  11. Recruit and supervise Marching Band staff for all facets of the program.
  12. Attend and actively participate in Webster Marching Band Booster, Inc. board meetings and events
  13. Assume other duties as assigned
  14. Experience working with a competitive high school marching band season essential.
  15. Candidates must possess strong organizational, leadership, intrapersonal and communication skills.

Salary:  Stipend per WTA contract- Positions listed on non-instructional matrix in WTA contract.
