Position Overview:  

Bishop Blanchet High School is seeking a Head JV Boys Basketball Coach for the 2022-2023 Winter season. Applicants with previous coaching experience at the HS level, 21 years or older, possessing a valid Washington State driver’s license with a CDL endorsement, and current First Aid/CPR/AED certification are preferred. This position reports to the Athletic Director.

 

Boys Basketball is a Winter sport. The season runs from November 14, 2022 to March 4, 2023

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Compliance with all Bishop Blanchet HS, Metro League, and WIAA policies and procedures.

  • Supervision of student-athletes during all team activities:

  • Practice and game times will be consistent throughout the season. Practices will be Monday-Friday from 3-5pm or 5-7pm and games will occur Tuesdays and Fridays between the times of 4-6:30pm.

  • Effective communication with players, coaching colleagues, and parents.

  • Promotion of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and fair play among team members.

  • Maintenance and inventory of team equipment and apparel.

  • Summer camp and team camp participation.

  • Teaching the rules of the sport and technique to improve player development.

    Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
