GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK: Performs responsible professional assessments and consultations. Assist teachers, administrators, and other staff members in understanding assessments and addressing students’ needs. Provide counseling and crisis management. Work is performed under general supervision. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL TASKS: (These are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. Administers appropriate psycho-educational, developmental, and/or emotional and behavioral assessments which assist with eligibility for special education and risk assessment; ? Provides individual and/or group counseling interventions; ? Reviews information, collects data, and collaborates with educators to assist in student improvement; ? Maintains appropriate assessment materials/tests; ? Serves as a member of the multi-disciplinary team by attending meetings, assisting in the evaluation of students, communicating evaluation information, and making appropriate recommendations; ? Assists with crisis management; ? Participates in supervision. ? Maintains and upholds School policies and procedures.
