High School Substitute Teacher (#304410)
Substitute Teachers at the High School Level will be considered for work at Halls High and Ripley High Schools in the district. May also include the Optional High School or Alternative School. Substitute teachers are extremely important to the district's success in our student's continued education. Applicants should possess a minimum High School diploma, successfully pass a TBI/FBI Fingerprint background check, pass a Child & Protective Services (CPS) background check, complete an initial physical examination and be available to work on short notice if needed. All candidates must submit an online application, provide proof of highest level of education, two (2) Professional references with email address, complete a TBI/FBI Fingerprint background check (see instructions below) before consideration can be given for this position. There is a one time (non-refundable) fee of $38 for the TBI/FBI Fingerprint Background check. Once the results of the fingerprint background check are received by the Human Resource Department, an email will be sent to the applicant to schedule an appointment to begin the hiring process. At the end of the school year, all active substitutes are required to submit an "Intent to Return" form to remain on the substitute list for the upcoming school year. This form must be received in the Human Resources Office by July 1. Failure to submit the "Intent to Return" will result in removal from the active substitute list and will require you to complete the process again.
