American Academy (AA) KindiePrep is accepting resumes for a full-time KindiePrep Teacher Assistant for the 2019-20 academic year. KindiePrep is a preschool program designed for children from ages three to five years old that prepares young children with an early foundation for educational success, emphasizing a whole-child approach to academics, social-emotional development and creative play. The Teacher Assistant reports to the Teacher and Assistant Director and is responsible for assisting the teacher in all activities associated with the care and education of the children enrolled.

Classroom Teacher Support: Complete daily tasks assigned by the teacher(s); Assist teachers with the set up and implementation of daily program activities; Assist with the management of the classroom; Assist in the organization and cleaning of classroom; Help ensure the safety of the children Rest Time, Lunch Support and Administrative Tasks: Assist teachers with set up and implementation of rest time; Give extra support to the children on an as needed basis during lunchtime; Ensure that all children are safe during carpool times; Assist teachers with any administrative tasks, as needed Positive Contribution to the School Environment: Demonstrate initiative in personal achievements and team support; Maintain integrity with respect to hierarchy in the organization; Demonstrate professionalism, positive relationships with colleagues, children and families Provide a safe, nurturing environment to ensure each child’s developmental growth Work as a positive team member to provide an exceptional educational experience
