Inclusion Summit Coordinator (#276939)
Title: Inclusion Summit Coordinator Reports to: Early CHOICES Project Director Job goal: To coordinate Illinois Inclusion Summit. Qualifications: ? Bachelors Degree in education or related fields and minimum of 3 years providing technical assistance to local education agencies OR Professional Educator License minimum of 3 years experience as a teacher, related service provider ? Expertise in inclusive practices ? Proficient in the use of technology ? Ability to travel on a weekly basis ? Experience with o Early Childhood and childcare systems in Illinois o Inclusive practices o Building collaborative relationships o Facilitation of meetings Essential Duties: ? Collaborates with Steering Committee and meeting planner for planning Inclusion Summit ? Prepares and facilitates effective meetings including the steering committee, listening sessions and other meetings as needed. ? Recruits facilitator and experts needed for summit ? Recruits participants and leadership for Summit from various state agencies and stakeholders ? Coordinates efforts with other stakeholders ? Assists in outreach about Summit for both the event and listening sessions ? Communicates and collaborates with team ? Completes documentation for work-related expenses ? Complies with SASED policies and procedures Non-Essential Duties: ? Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: ? Extensive credibility and effectiveness in implementation of inclusion for children with disabilities in the least restrictive environment. ? Ability to guide change as a member of team ? Knowledge of Evidenced Based Practices to support inclusive practices ? Excellent organizational and communication skills ? High level of accuracy and attention to detail ? Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks with accuracy and respond to changing priorities ? Ability to adapt communication appropriately for purpose and audience ? Ability to work as part of the team, lead when appropriate, and accept feedback ? Professional appearance and demeanor Terms of Employment: 75 day work year at compensation set by the SASED Board of Control. Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the SASED Board of Control policy on the evaluation of staff.
