Director of Student Services
Must hold a certificate issued by Florida Department of Education.
The certificate must be in Professional Certificate.
The certificate position area must be in one of the following areas: Counselor/Guidance, Social Worker.
The certificate must be in one of the following grades: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th.
The certificate status must be active.
The Director of Student Services is responsible for the planning, development, organization, management, and implementation of all aspects of Student Services programs which include; Gifted, child welfare. attendance, discipline, guidance services of all assigned counselors and their performs related work. Provides leadership and vision to ensure compliance in matters relating to student discipline, alternative education, child welfare and attendance, guidance services, and school safety.
In addition, the Director of Student Services Must be able to:
-Guide, direct, and participate in serious discipline processes, including but not limited to student suspensions and expulsions. -Ensure that all practices are followed with fidelity and accuracy to ensure children's success -Supervise and evaluate along side the Principal all counselors.
