About the Position

The Classified Nurse (COVID-19) works as a member of building and district health services team(s) to coordinate and carry out health care services related to COVID-19. Works under the direction of the Health Services Manager and in collaboration with Certificated School Nurses, provides direct and indirect care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, professional standards of care, state regulations and standards. This position works closely with employees, students, and families in response to COVID-19-related occurrences reported.

* NOTE: This is a temporary/part-time position with a non-continuing contract. This position is expected to work on Saturdays and Sundays.

Education and Experience: 
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • One year of nursing work experience preferred, but not required.
Licenses/Special Requirements:
  • Current Washington State R.N. license
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to acquire)
  • Must have availability to work on Saturdays and Sundays
  • Must have a valid state driver’s license and a reliable method of transportation
  • May be required to travel to and from various District sites to provide nursing services (mileage reimbursement from the District is available)
Salary:  2020-21 Salary Schedule: $33.80 per hour. Prof-Tech level 8.  
Work Schedule:   4 hours per day, Saturdays & Sundays
Non-continuing Position: This is a non-continuing position and the funding for this position may originate from sources other than the District’s General Fund. The continuation of employment (after the contracted date) shall be contingent upon the continued availability of funds for this position and/or program.

FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt
