Mathematics - Staff Developer - Grades K - 8

Chappaqua CSD is looking for an energetic, innovative and inspirational professional/staff developer to support academic excellence in K-8 Mathematics.
This full-time professional developer’s primary focus is to ensure that the students of Chappaqua have access to the very best Mathematics education available. The successful candidate will join a robust and talented professional development team of teachers and leaders and will report directly to the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. Although this is a 10-month teaching position, additional compensation is provided for a significant summer commitment.

Comprehensive understanding of research based mathematics instruction
Commitment to supporting culturally responsive, inclusive learning environments
Knowledge of Singapore Mathematics instructional models
Ability to support and model progressive and innovative instructional methods
Experience writing, evaluating, and revising curriculum
Knowledge of STEAM and project-based learning through effective technology integration
Knowledge of adult learning theory, teacher coaching, and mentoring
The ability to make responsible, data-informed decisions
Knowledge of personalized learning and how to support personalized instruction
Ability to multitask, project plan, and coordinate various initiatives simultaneously
Commitment to personal professional growth to remain on the leading edge of innovation
Mathematics 7-12 prefered, Special Education or Elementary acceptable.
Administrative certification preferred, although not required
Extensive successful mathematics teaching experience, preferably at the secondary level
Successful experience supporting adult professional learning
Leadership experience prefered (ex. Department Chairperson or Building Administrator)
