Our Technology Instructor/Coordinator will collaborate with staff and the school community to ensure that we fulfill the mission of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School, fostering faith-filled students, lifelong learners, and good citizens. We are looking for someone with positive energy and a team player. Our Lady of Lourdes is a Catholic parish school of approximately 200 students located in Vancouver, WA. This is a full-time position. 


The successful candidate must be committed to teaching technology skills to students in grades K-8 which align with the ISTE standards and to oversee the technology infrastructure and management of the school building.  Successful candidates uphold the Catholic faith while providing all students with an equitable and inclusive education. Candidates need to hold or be working toward a current Washington State teaching certificate endorsed in Educational Technology or equivalent experience in a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with successful teaching experience. 



Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred

Technology endorsement or equivalent experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Providing scheduled technology instruction for students in grades K-8 which align with ISTE Standards, overseeing student projects, working with other instructional teams to support student needs
  • Demonstrating proficiency in various operating systems and software applications, Apple Computers, G-Suite learning platforms

  • Assisting in establishing system-wide software and hardware standards,  requirements and specifications

  • Assisting in reviewing and approving all system technology purchases to assure compatibility

  • Preparing proposals and solicits bids for system technology needs

  • Analyzing information to determine, recommend, and plan layout for type of computers and peripheral equipment, or modifications to existing equipment and systems that will provide capability for new or upgraded networks, while maintaining efficient operation and effective use of space.

  • Evaluating hardware and software for classroom and administrative needs

  • Remaining current on new developments in the areas of software, hardware, networks, telecommunications, training and maintenance.

  • Helping to manage and evaluate the technology budget

  • Consulting with administrator and teachers to define equipment needs

  • Contracting with vendors to provide needed technology solutions.

  • Managing technology resources 

  • Coordinating, evaluating and recommending hardware and software purchases and replacement

  • Coordinating the development, monitoring, and periodic evaluation of a school-wide technology plan

  • Troubleshooting and repairing computer hardware and software when appropriate
