JOB SUMMARY: This position provides skilled maintenance services for the Norwich Free Academy campus to ensure smooth operations of all facilities.
REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager

- Valid electrical license is required
- Working knowledge of different maintenance functions
- Working knowledge of computer skills related to systems such as Gmail, Microsoft and spreadsheets
- Valid driver's license is required
Repair and maintain physical structure, equipment, machinery, plumbing, electrical wiring and fixtures in accordance with blueprints, manuals and building codes.
In accordance with instructions and building codes, plan layout and install wiring, cables, conduit, breakers, panels and electrical equipment in buildings.
Diagnose malfunctioning equipment such as transformers, motors and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires and cables and repair or replace electrical equipment, wiring and fixtures.
Able to bend and install EMT+ rigid conduit with hand benders utilizing NEC and OSHA standards.
Comprehend and practice the use of Lockout/Tag out, fall protection and all other PPE.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery.
Carpentry, plumbing and other maintenance or repairs as assigned by the supervisor.
Participation in on-call rotation for alarm calls after hours is required.
Assist in set up for large events like graduation.
Light snow removal.
Some overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.
Employee will be required to walk, climb and lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, may be exposed to extreme temperatures, tight spaces, and heights.
