Lewis-Palmer School District #38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a full time Technology/Computer Science teacher at Palmer Ridge High School beginning with the 2021-22 school year. Must have or be eligible to receive a Colorado teaching license and must have or be eligible to obtain a CTE Credential in Information Technology. Must be able to teach a range of technology subjects including, but not limited to, cybersecurity, coding, computer applications, and possibly some business courses to high school learners. Candidate must be willing to be trained in Project Lead the Way, cybersecurity, and sponsor CTSOs. The opportunity to coach athletics and/or sponsor other student programs is also available. This position will remain open until filled. The start date for this position is August 4, 2021.
Exact placement on the salary schedule can only be determined by the Executive Director of Personnel upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 9 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 10, per school board policy. This salary range is $35,971 (Level 1 Step 2) up to $54,260 (Level 9 Step 10) dependent on education and experience levels. The current teacher salary schedule can be found on our website.
