Role Summary

Our Academy for Urban School Leadership (AUSL) Advisory Services team is looking for an ambitious program manager with a passion for unlocking the potential of all students through anti-racist, liberated learning experiences and helping school teams navigate systems level change with diversity, equity, and inclusion at the center. The Senior Program Manager will lead and manage LiberatED Way partnership engagements with schools around the country in addition to supporting the ongoing refinement of the LiberatED Way offering. The LiberatED Way is AUSL Advisory Services’ whole school revitalization offering to schools and school districts around the country. The LiberatED Way is built on the belief that every student deserves the opportunity to thrive in school, not only academically, but across a host of other student dispositions that are unique to what the school community believes is most important to unlock student potential and affirm student identity. Key LiberatED Way components include designing an anti-racist school vision, establishing school governance structures that center families as authentic partners in school design and continuous improvement, and building teacher professional learning structures that ensure teachers are growing in the areas that matter most for students based on the school community’s vision. The Senior Program Manager will also work with the Director, Program Design, to refine the LiberatED Way approach over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing toward key LiberatED Way program deliverables with a high level of professionalism and quality
  • Building trusting and collaborative relationships with partner schools and districts
  • Managing and facilitating design and other partner working sessions with support from subject matter advisors
  • Embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion focused learning and reflection into planning and design work with partner schools
  • Managing and facilitating reflective, ongoing communication with key partners to support responsive adaptations in project approach
  • Working with the Director, Program Design to refine the LiberatED Way approach based on ongoing learnings from program implementation
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Demonstrated education leadership experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong project management and consultative skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic change
  • Knowledgeable about diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to travel up to 40%
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
 Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree (not required)
  • Previous consulting experience
  • Previous experience in PK-12 education
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
