Special Education Teacher - LTS
Description: Roseville Area Schools has a vacancy for a Setting I/II Special Education Teacher at Roseville Area High School. The Licensed Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction aligned to the state standards to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities; evaluates and assesses student progress against instructional objectives; follows State mandated due process procedures and functions as IEP Manager to assigned students; collaborates with general education staff; communicates regularly with parents/guardians; schedules students and paraprofessionals; supervises paraprofessionals; teaches pull-out standards-based English 9; co-teaches in English 9; and works in a Professional Learning Community with the general education English co-teacher. This is a .5 FTE position starting August 30, 2021 through June 10, 2022.
- A MN Teaching License in Special Education: SLD, ABS, and/or ASD
- Commitment to an equitable education experience for all
- Demonstrated understanding of cultural competence for teaching
- English Language Arts 7-12 License
Compensation: Compensation is based on Education and Experience with a minimum full time starting salary of $43,476.00, plus a possible contribution towards medical and dental benefits as outlined in the Teacher contract.
