This posting is for Special Education Behavior Intervention Teacher at Walsh Elementary for the 21-22 school year.

Must have certification to cover appropriate grade level/content + special education cert. Please see details below.
Core Certifications + Special Ed/Supplement is required, such as:
Special Education EC-12
Core Subjects EC-6
Provide special education students with learning activities and behavioral lessons designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, and social growth.
Work collaboratively with the school psychologist to maintain a therapeutic and instructional climate for students with emotional and behavioral disorders.
Work with general education teachers to support these students within an inclusive setting.
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignments.
Certificate covering General Ed and Special Ed grades K-5 preferred.
Knowledge of special needs students in assigned area.
Knowledge of Admission, Review, Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal setting process and implementation.
General knowledge of curriculum and instruction. General knowledge of behavioral strategies.
