Long-Term Sub - 9-12 Biology & Physics

The School District of New Berlin is seeking an outstanding, engaging and innovative 7-12 grade long-term substitute for biology and physics who would be interested in joining our school community for the 21-22 school year. This position begins September 20 and runs through December 23. Must have or will be eligible to apply by end of August for a Wisconsin DPI license in all science or biology and physics.

Candidate must demonstrate consistent proficiency in components assigned under:
Domain 1: Planning and Preparation
Domain 2: Classroom Environment
Domain 3: Instruction
Domain 4: Professional Responsibilities
Including, but not limited to:
•Develop lesson plans and instructional materials to provide individualized and small group instruction by adapting the district-approved curriculum to the needs of each pupil while maintaining high expectations
•Establish and maintain rapport with pupils to ensure an effective learning atmosphere
•Provide specific timely feedback to students
•Communicate expectations clearly to students and parents
•Effectively communicate with parents in various ways (i.e. website, newsletters, phone calls, e-mails, conferences)
•Work in a supportive and collaborative manner with colleagues
•To be a part of a collaborative team to analyze and respond to data
