|This position is a full-time, twelve-month administrative and supervisory position responsible for developing, supporting, and administering early childhood programming. The position reports to the Chief Academic Officer
|Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
Administrator’s Certificate appropriate for the Principal or Mid- Management
|A minimum of three years of exemplary teaching experience or comparable leadership experience is essential
There are a minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated leadership experience as a Dean or Assistant Principal or similar high-level leadership role.
Experience with STEM Education
|Master’s degree in early childhood, elementary education
Demonstrated proficiency in the subject area and STEM curriculum
Knowledge of various tasks, duties, and procedure and the ability to follow specific instructions with little or no previous experience
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to coach and provide feedback to staff regarding instructional Best Practices.
|Plans and oversees programs and services associated with the RYSS community model.|
|Plans and oversees programs and services designed to expand the quality early care and education opportunities in the district consistent with the Board-approved Early Childhood Strategic Plan.|
|Evaluate teacher performance via Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS)|
|Oversees grants that support the RYSS Early Childhood Program|
|Maintains appropriate financial records as required by state and federal guidelines.

|Prepares year-end reports and program evaluations necessary to monitor and evaluate the quality of programs.|
|Coordinates the adoption of research-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum in all districts and the district’s partner agencies in the community.|
|Provides for training in the adopted curriculum sufficient to support successful implementation.
|Works with principals and other district administrators to ensure consistent implementation of early care and education opportunities throughout the district.|
|Coordinates with elementary education in the district to ensure a smooth transition for children from early childhood to kindergarten.|
|Works with elementary faculty and administrators on the periodic review of curriculum to ensure consistency within the early childhood and elementary school services.|
|Develops an effective district-wide program of supervision and support for programs offered by the district and programs offered in the community through partner agencies.|
|Assists in the recruiting, interviewing, and selection of appropriate staff to implement the program.
|Ensures that all early childhood have the appropriate certification for their assigned role based on state and federal certification guidelines.|
|Implements appropriate staff development and staff evaluation procedures necessary to ensure quality services for young children.
