Position:  School Psychologist-full time

Location:  Warren County (southern)


Job Opening:  The Warren County ESC is now accepting applications for a full-time school psychologist position for the 2021-2022 school year.  The school psychologist will develop and provide a full range of comprehensive school psychological services to students, families, and schools in compliance with local, state, and federal laws. They will provide a broad range of services to meet the academic and mental health needs of students in the district to which they are assigned. 

Essential Functions:

  • Participates in response to intervention team processes and consults with team members
  • Contributes to the psycho-educational evaluation and assessment for students to determine educational needs and eligibility for special education services
  • Summarize and interpret evaluation results and recommendations in written and verbal form in practical and understandable terms
  • When needed, provides counseling services within the scope of training to individuals or groups of students
  • May serve as a resource to districts and buildings in crisis situations
  • When requested, develops, implements, and evaluates professional development opportunities for staff and/or families within the district they serve
  • Maintains an adequate system of documentation and record keeping and meets deadlines for meetings, paperwork, and other responsibilities
  • Networks and makes referrals to outside agencies, when appropriate, to meet the needs of the students and families with whom they are working
  • Maintains confidentiality with regard to professional situations
  • Communicates with WCESC supervisor and district personnel on issues that may arise
  • Effectively utilizes technology to complete assigned duties
  • Displays professionalism through appearance, behavior, and attendance
 
Qualifications:  Candidates must have at least a Masters Degree and hold a valid Ohio Department of Education License in School Psychology and pass a background check.

Contract: Beginning August 1, 2021-days vary depending on district assigned
                  Full time contracts range from 200-210 days
 
Salary and Benefits:  Salary per WCESC salary schedule and is commensurate with experience
