FACTS Enrichment Activity Leader

Position Title:                   FACTS Enrichment Activity Leader (Multiple Positions)
Department/Section:        FACTS Program/ District Wide
Supervisor:                        FACTS Coordinator  


Hourly Rate:  $15.00 - $15.13/hour (depending on experience)
Pay Grade:  2
Schedule:  19 hours/week


SUMMARY OF FUNCTION:
This position is for highly motivated and hard working people who are passionate about working with children in a team orientented environment.  You would be responsible for providing positive supervision and interactions with students during the out-of-school time hours. You will independently lead groups of approximately 15 students as they participate in clubs, activites, and field trips that cover a wide array of topic areas. You will assist in the planning and coordination of daily enrichment clubs and activities. You will activly engage students in positive character development. A FACTS team member is excited to enrich students lives on a personal and professional level. They have a passion for working with school age children and a belief in their ability to positively impact students' lives. If this describes you please apply. 
 
TYPICAL TASKS:
  • Model at all times positive personal character.
  • Take responsibility for the safety of the students in FACTS.
  • Reguarlly discuss positive character delopment with students as part of the FACTS character develpment plan. 
  • As part of a team plan and implement enrichment clubs and activities.
  • Actively engage with children during play and enrichment activities.
  • Utilize positive reinforcement techniques.
  • Maintain acurate rosters of students in attendance.
  • Prepare and distribute pre-packaged snacks.
  • Be supportive of other team members.
  • Be responsible for ensuring the quality and condition of all supplies, equipment and materials used by the FACTS Program.
  • Follow all Department of Health Services and Department of Economic Security regulations and FUSD policies and guidelines.
  • Have knowledge of handling payments submitted by parents.
  • Arrive at work prepared to start prior to the start of your work shift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities except in the absence of the Enrichment Spcialist and if appointed to be in charge by the FACTS Coordinator.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Able to consistently demonstrate posiitve personal character.
  • Desire to exceed expectations when possible. 
  • Ability to stay calm and positive in stessful situations. 
  • Ability to complete essential duties at a high level.
  • Ability to work the daily hours assigned by the FACTS Program.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school graduate or equivalent certification required.  
  • Higher education preferred, but not required.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
 
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSE, REGISTRATIONS
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification (training provided)
  • Mantoux TB test
  • AZ Early Childhood Registry (training provided)
