Seminole Heights Charter High School Dropout Prevention and Recovery Program serving students age 16-21 seeks a dedicated professional with a desire to make a difference in the lives of adolescents, possessing a working knowledge of teaching in a technology enhanced environment, 21st Century Skills development and a commitment to working with at-risk populations.

Responsibilities include: • Coaching, motivating and instructing students with attention given to each student’s Individual Graduation Plan • Supporting instruction in state standards aligned courses delivered to maximize student engagement and learning • Maintaining a classroom climate conducive to teaching and learning; provides a learning environment that is team-oriented, student-centered and aligned with the company’s goals and specified objectives • Provides direction and leadership within the classroom by displaying a an effective working knowledge of the subject matter and by demonstrating best practices relating to teaching /instructional techniques • Maintains progress monitoring reports, attendance, behavioral records, academic grades and other student records as required by state regulatory guidelines and company policies and procedures • Effectively facilitates positive interactions between students and their peers as well as instructional staff; employs excellent customer service principles when working with the school staff members, parents and students.
