Non-Instructional Support


The position will perform various responsible fiscal/accounting duties in connection with the following:

5+ Years of computerized general ledger and Excel experience in public (preferred) or private sector team environment,
Ability to maintain a set of records and accounts on a double entry basis,
Ability to analyze and interpret accounting systems and procedures,
Ability to understand and prepare financial statements,
Record financial transactions and to post to financial records from receipt; disbursement, expense and appropriation records,
Manage grant reporting/bookkeeping and prepare reports, schedules and summaries,
Reconcile agency’s records in order to assure complete agreement of records of disbursements receipts, outstanding orders and balances,
To be responsible for petty cash funds,
Provide assistance to a superior in the preparation of the annual budget requests of the agency and in the maintenance of accounts,
To do related work as required.

KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS AND CAPACITIES: Requires a working knowledge of the principles and practices of accounting/bookkeeping with reasonable speed and accuracy in making complex calculations; a working knowledge of payroll systems and processing; a working knowledge of tax reporting; and related capacities and abilities.  A familiarity with standard office software and equipment such as MS Office Suite; familiarity with MUNIS is a plus. 

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
