Guest Teacher (Guest Teacher Program - Applicant Pool)
The Guest Teacher Program (“Program”) provides eligible employees (“Guest Teacher”’) with an opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills, and state approved certification required for career development and advancement in the teaching profession. Guest Teachers are hired directly by the District to fill vacant positions. Employees are placed in long-term assignments serving as the teacher of record for the assigned classroom.
The Guest Teacher will create and promote a student-centered class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establish effective rapport with scholars and cultivate relationships with parents and other staff members to deliver high-quality educational experiences for scholars.
Flint Community Schools, an urban public school system with campuses throughout the City of Flint, Michigan, has a long and rich tradition of community education. Flint Community Schools provide a range of academic, extended services and extracurricular activities at the elementary and secondary levels to meet the needs of our students and their families.
Guest Teacher Pay:
Guest Teachers work five (5) days per week.
$125.00/day for the first through sixtieth (1st – 60th) day of employment.
