Media Production Specialist
SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Communications, Marketing, and Public Relations Director, the Media Production Specialist conceptualizes, plans, designs, develops, and produces district promotional videos, photos, images, and other media projects for school and district communications and works with other department personnel to produce video presentations to promote district programs on various communication channels. To be successful in this role, hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Cloud products, the ability to work collaboratively with others, and the ability to turn creative ideas into effective productions is essential. The Media Production Specialist will work with the Communications and Public Relations Department in building and maintaining a strong, consistent brand through a wide range of online and offline communication channels.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. • Coordinates, plans, produces, and directs media productions for informational and advertising purposes. • Collaboratively participates in the development of media content to build stakeholder engagement across multiple platforms. • Creates productions including but not limited to district, school and community events; promotional videos, press releases, presentations, and advertisements; interview footage; and website, digital and other media content designed to communicate information to internal and external stakeholders. • Coordinates script development, interview questions, storyboards, shooting locations, set development, prop usage, and subjects. • Assists with the district’s implementation of online video streaming for professional development and other communications-related activities. • Sequences and edits video productions; creates narrations, captions, titles, and animations. • Coordinates and schedules the use of studio and equipment; transports, sets up, operates equipment (computers and other devices, cameras, lighting, props, microphones, etc.), prepares and stages sets. • Maintains an organized repository of all footage, productions, and any related documentation. • Compile reports and perform analysis of production performance and results. • Maintain awareness of current media production tools, trends, and applications

The noise level in the office is usually moderate (computers, printers, light foot traffic).
