1. Selects & acquires materials to implement the curriculum & to meet the individual interest, ability, & maturity levels of students. 2. Catalogs, organizes, & Distributes all print/non-print materials & audio-visual equipment for effective use. 3. Participates in curriculum training Planning & program development & implementation & develops a close working relationship with teachers, principals, & other media specialists. 4. Creates an attractive environment & atmosphere that encourages students & teachers to use the media center. 5. Stimulates & guides students in all phases of their reading, viewing, and listening, so that they may assimilate information. 6. Provides instruction in cooperation with the staff in media & resource skills. 7. Provides media center ecperiences es to help students develop satisfactory personal relationships, social attitudes,& vocational & vocational interests. 8. Conducts with teachers & volunteer personnel (adult & Student) in-service & other staff development activities in the use of audio-visual equipment & materials. 9. Acquaints the staff & students with the media collection, educational software options, & new materials. 10. Assists the principal in ensuring that instructional materials & equipment are used to provide learning experiences compatible with the educational needs of students. 11. Assists in the integration of Technology applications in the curriculum. 12. Performs other duties as assigned by the principal.
