Academic Support - Bilingual Seal Coordinator   (Teacher on Special Assignment)
Part-Time

Provide assistance in the coordination of the district’s Bilingual/Multilingual Seal program and to assist in the administration of the Seal to meet the needs of all world language and heritage language speaking students.

Duties:  Develop and implement a plan for continuous communication with parents, students, and schools.  Work with appropriate staff to gather data and submit reports to the appropriate staff.  Assist the high schools in the preparation for and implementation of the AAPPL test for students.  Oversee timely submission of required documentation to data management secretaries for purposes of transcript.  Provide guidance and support to World Language and ESL teachers for procedures and program compliance.  Maintain and update the Bilingual/Multilingual Seal webpage.  Plan, lead and/or attend staff development activities, as it relates to the communication and knowledge of the Bilingual/Multilingual Seal.  Coordinate data; monitor, and oversee the accuracy of reports to counselors.  Performs any other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:  Requires ESL or World Language License.
(Anoka-Hennepin will make every effort to hire teachers with full standard licenses in the assigned subject and grade level.)

Preferred Qualifications:  Skilled in technology, including AAPPL test administration preferred.   Ability to provide optimal customer service to all students, employees, parents, community members, and other stakeholders of the district. preferred.  Strong collaboration skills preferred.  Strong communication and interpersonal skills preferred.  Strong organizational and presentation skills preferred.

Start Date:  ASAP.  This position may be filled immediately by an appropriately licensed candidate (PELSB Tier 3 or Tier 4 license); or by a candidate eligible for PELSB Tier 1 or Tier 2 license, or OFP (Out of Field Permission) after a 15-day posting period (after: 9/22/20).
