Middle School (All Subjects)
Must hold a license issued by Virginia Department of Education.
The license must be in one of the following types: Collegiate Professional License, Postgraduate Professional License, Statement of Eligibility.
The license position area must be in one of the following areas: Algebra I, Algebra II, Calculus, Geometry, Math (General), Pre-Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Probability and Statistics, Trigonometry, Biology/Life Science, Chemistry, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Physics, Science (General), Space Science, Economics, Geography, History - US, History - World, Humanities, Jewish Studies, Philosophy, Political Science/Government, Psychology, Religion, Social Studies (General), Sociology, Autism, Deaf-Blind, Early Intervention Specialist, Educational Diagnostician, Emotional Behavior Disabilities, Hearing Impairment, Intellectual Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, Mild/Moderate Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Severe/Profound Disabilities, Special Education (General), Traumatic Brain Injury, Visual Impairment.
The license must be in one of the following grades: 6th, 7th, 8th.
The license status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.
Works with students with various academic levels. Creates and maintains a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the ability level of the student. Plans a program of learning experiences that will assist in achieving skill development and progression for students at the secondary level in earth science. Uses assessment data to provide meaningful instruction. Provides meaningful instructional delivery that connects science to the real world using hands-on activities. Instructs students in objectives commensurate with curriculum and pacing guides. Complies with and enforces school rules and school board policies and procedures. Attends and participates in faculty meetings and serves on committees as appropriate. Performs other school duties and assignments as appointed.
