This position will implement, support, maintain, and manage all aspects of the district computer (pc, tablet, mobile device) hardware/software, network connectivity, peripherals (such as printers, scanners, projectors, etc.) in accordance with the district information systems standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties maybe assigned.
Implements, documents, supports, maintains and manages computer (pc, tablet, mobile device) hardware/software, network connectivity, peripherals (such as printers, scanners, projectors, etc.) for the Mapleton School district, but not limited to:
Providing Tier I support troubleshooting and issue resolution addressing IT tickets as assigned.
Supporting after school events such as talent shows, choir performances, performing arts events, graduation, etc.
Follows department standards, protocols, and reports security issues/breaches to an immediate supervisor.
Assists with projects as assigned
Participate in meetings, workshops, and/or trainings required to convey and/or gather information required to successfully execute essential performance responsibilities.
Assist IT Department in completing any other duties as required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of experience in an IT environment supporting pc/tablet/mobile device hardware/software, network and peripheral troubleshooting, preferred.
Associate degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
Experience working in a technical capacity within a school district preferred.
TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Basic knowledge of information systems including computer (pc, tablet, mobile devices), network, security, collaboration tools (such as email, video conferencing, chat, etc.).
Basic knowledge of Office 365 including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Ability to analyze and solve technical and/or business problems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; use hands and fingers to perform repetitive motions; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to IO pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock, dust and other nuisances. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Occasionally handles emergency crisis situations, frequently subject to interruptions and multiple calls and inquiries.
MENTAL FUNCTIONS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to compare, analyze, communicate, copy, coordinate, instruct, compute, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, compile, and negotiate.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Twelve (12) month position (260 Days).
Eight (8) hours per day.
