Responsible for the safe crossing of school children at a designated crossing point in the Town of Guilford.  Crossing Guards, under the direction of the Principal and/or their designee shall have the function and duty to carefully and with sound judgment control and direct middle school children in crossing streets at a designated crossing and at designated time.  To assist children travelling to and from school, to cooperate with school officials in enforcing school rules and regulations relating to the crossing of a street, and in instructing school children in the elements of traffic safety.

Minimum Qualifications:       
Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergency situations.  Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions. Must have the ability to deal effectively and courteously with associates and the general public.
Responsible to:                       Building Administrator
Work Period:                          180 days of school year.  2 hours per day.  7:45 – 8:45 a.m. and 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.
                                                12:30 – 1:30 p.m. on designated early dismissal days

$12.27 per hour.
