High School CTE Construction Trades Paraprofessional – one school year position during face to face instruction

Job Overview
The role of the Paraprofessional is to work with the Construction Trades Teacher in assisting students needing extra help in the area of Math, Reading and Writing, Safety, and Tool usage.  The Paraprofessional will also assist students in exploration of, and readiness for, job and career opportunities in the Construction Trades field.    
 
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide one-on-one tutoring if such tutoring is scheduled at a time when a student would not otherwise receive instruction from a teacher. 
  • Assist with classroom management
  • Assist with such tasks as organizing instructional and other materials
  • Provide instructional assistance in a classroom or lab setting
  • Provide support when completing program specific research projects
  • Provide instructional support services under the direct supervision of a teacher
        
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Residential Construction experience
  • Know how to safely use construction tools and equipment
  • Personal characteristics of wanting and enjoying working with High School aged students
