New Substitutes for the 2019-2020 school year.
Please note that you must have a high school diploma or GED to become a substitute with SAU 29 for Grades PreK-8.  To substitute in Grades 9-12 (Keene High School), you are required to have at least two years of work experience after obtaining a high school diploma or GED.

Substitutes will be utilized only for days that students are physically in the school buildings during the current COVD-19 SAU 29 opening plans.

As part of our ongoing effort to make sure the most qualified people are working with our children, we will be using the following criteria in the following order as we hire substitutes:

  1. Retired and/or certified teachers with valid or expired professional teaching certificates.
    • Persons holding degrees.
      • Persons with a high school diploma or GED who have experience and/or training preparing them to work with children

After completing and submitting your application, you will be contacted via e-mail by Sharon Rhoades, Human Resources Coordinator, with further information on receiving the additional paperwork (such as fingerprinting, W-4, I-9, etc.) necessary to finalize your substitute application, if selected.
