Health Assistant

Position Description:             
The health assistant assists the school nurse in providing first aid for sick or injured students, hearing and vision screening, and in programs that will ensure the standards of care throughout the district. The health assistant is required to be current in first aid and CPR. It is recommended the person have an educational background in the health field.
  
Hours:                                    
6.75 hours/day, all school days and additional hours as directed
                                                       
Wage:                                     
Starting wage at $14.22/hr.; Classification B21

Jefferson Elementary provides programming for grades 1-4, focusing on small group instruction, responsive classroom, STEM opportunities and core curriculum.  We offer a middle school structure and environment for grades 5-8, focused on advisory, exploratory and experiential learning opportunities.  Our new high school building is for grades 9-12, offering college, vocational and work ready courses. We have many opportunities for fine arts and athletics for all students.
