Health Office Support Team Members

The Plano School District will be hiring temporary, seasonal health office support team members to support the registered nurses, administrators and students in all school buildings 

Successful candidates will follow CDC guidelines while supporting students in the health office, and:

  • Wear a mask or face covering at all times
  • Wear disposable gloves to clean and disinfect
  • Provide supervision for students who are mildly ill and waiting to be pick up by parents, in accordance with school policies and procedures and under the supervision of the registered nurse
  • Communicate effectively with Health Services Supervisor, registered nurses, building administrators, other school personnel, and parents/guardians in order to enhance cooperative action to meet the health and safety needs of students
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding school and health related issues.
  • Demonstrate cooperation, courtesy and willingness to improve conditions and situations involving staff, parents and students
  • Attend work regularly, dresses appropriately, is conscious of responsibilities, and conducts tasks with integrity
  • Foster good public relations
  1. High School diploma or equivalent
  2. Good interpersonal skills
  3. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred, but not required
  4. Completed or willing to complete Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training, if requested
  5. Bilingual skills preferred, but not required
  6. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
Employees must wear face coverings and will be provided with proper PPE and training. 

Position is temporary, but will be evaluated as the need to maintain the facilities changes, based on CDC, IDPH, ISBE and State of Illinois guidelines evolve.
