Community Education

 School Age Program Director

Hours: Full Time or Part Time (6-hour shift or split shift) between the hours of 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Our Program Directors:

  • Plan and implement activities to have a fun and interactive environment
  • Support online learning of school-age students during the school day
  • Establish positive relationships with students and parents
  • Maintain an open line of communication with parents
  • Must love working with children
  • Ensure the care of each child by following licensing guidelines and implementing all Okemos Community Education standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized space
  • Other duties as assigned by administration

Qualifications:

  • Be at least 21 years of age,
  • Experience working in a licensed childcare facility in a School-Age classroom
  • Be flexible with the work schedule
  • Have one of the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a child-related field
  • Montessori credential with 12 semester hours of coursework in a Child- Related Field and 480 hours of experience working with children.
  • Associate’s degree in a child-related field and 480 hours of experience working with children.
  • Valid Michigan school-age youth development credential with 12 semester hours of coursework in a child-related field and 480 hours of experience working with children.
  • Valid child development associate credential with 12 semester hours of coursework in a child-related field and 480 hours of experience working with children.
  • Sixty semester hours with 12 semester hours of coursework in a child-related field and 720 hours of experience working with children.
  • High school diploma or GED with 6 semester hours of coursework in a child-related field and 2,880 hours of experience working with children.

 

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $14.34/hour
