Title:                     Varsity Girls Tennis Coach
Job Location:     Paw Paw High School
Reports To:        Athletic Director
Job Type:             2020/2021 Season Contract
Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Must possess high school diploma
  • Extensive experience playing Tennis
  • Successful past coaching experience
  • Cap 1 and/or Cap 2 Certification
  • First Aid/CPR Certified
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be able to coordinate a Tennis curriculum to build a program from MS – varsity level
  • Strong personal/social skills, with the ability to effectively communicate using a variety of media
Preferences: 
  • Experience and or willingness to organize/assist with clinics and camps
  • Possesses knowledge of the MHSAA rules and regulations
  • Willingness to build meaningful positive relationships with staff and student body
  • Possesses the ability to motivate players and coaches to work toward program philosophy/goals
Job Description: 
  • Coordinate in-season and out-of-season practice/conditioning opportunities for grades 9-12
  • Develop program philosophy and curriculum that builds upon itself from grades 9-12
  • Develop cohesive coaching staff that works to develop all players from grades 9-12
  • Coordinate with Middle School programs and coaches to optimize youth opportunities
  • Teach and instruct the game of tennis, while working to develop and emphasize positive character traits in all athletes
  • Provide coaching and guidance to athletes prior to, during and after competition.
Salary/Benefits:  Per VBCEA/PPEA, MEA-NEA contract Schedule C
Start Date:  Tentatively March, 2021
