Once the application is submitted, you will receive before the orientation the online sub packet. This packet will include 10 forms that will need to be completed.

QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM: 21 years old
High School Diploma or GED
Substitute Orientation session held by Crandall Schools, this training is required to substitute in the district.
REQUIREMENTS: ( Bring these to the training class)
Copy of high school diploma, GED, high school transcript, or college transcript
Copy of Teacher Certificate (required only for certified teachers)
Copy of Social Security Card (current name)
Copy of Driver's License
Voided Check or Bank Authorization Form for Direct Deposit
Fingerprints with State Board of Educators - Please be aware there is a $45 - $50 charge at your expense for fingerprinting.
Fingerprinting is scheduled once a background check has been completed. You will be issued a FASTPASS to schedule an appointment. NOTE: This step is done after substitute orientation. If you are already fingerprinted within the TEA system, you will not have to reprint.
Senate Bill 9 was passed by the 80th Legislature and mandates that TEA acquire criminal history reports on school employees, certified and currently employed educators, substitutes, and non-certified employees hired after January 1, 2008.
