Description: School Cafeteria Food Service Manager
Job Summary: This position requires the individual to manage every aspect of the cafeteria within the school. The manager must ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Specific responsibilities require the preparing and serving of food items to students and school personnel. Additionally, the manager is responsibile for maintaining food service facilities in a safe and sanitary condition. Must be able to provide direction and manage all food service employees and promote safe work practices and procedures.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Associates degree preferred Prior experience in food service is preferred.
Working Conditions: This position will require the individual to work within a school cafeteria. Must be able to work with others to include students, teachers, food service workers and administrators. Must be able to work standing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, some lifting, etc. Must be aware of and willing to uphold district policies and procedures as it relates to employees that are being supervised.
