Must hold a license issued by Virginia Department of Education.
The license must be in one of the following types: Collegiate Professional License, Provisional License.
The license position area must be in one of the following areas: Deaf-Blind, Hearing Impairment, Intellectual Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, Mild/Moderate Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Visual Impairment.
The license must be in one of the following grades: Preschool/Pre-K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th.
The license status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program. Expired certifications will be considered.

Description

The Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind is seeking an Instructional Technology Resource Teacher to facilitate the effective integration of technology into the teaching/learning process and provide leadership in the ongoing development and improvement of programs and services to promote technology awareness and effective use throughout the curriculum. This position will also assist the Information Technology Department in the management and utilization of technology systems within the school and residential programs. This is a 10-month, faculty position. The beginning date for this position is July 2020.

This is a Classified Restricted position funded through special funding.

Responsibilities include: • Planning and facilitating technology integration for teaching and learning • Planning and facilitating information access and delivery • Planning and facilitating technology program administration • Classroom organization and management • Evaluation, reporting and recordkeeping • Development, implementation and participation in staff development
