TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Participates in the Teachers' Retirement System of the State of Illinois.

Professional Educator License endorsed as School Counselor.
Must work effectively and demonstrate exemplary interpersonal skills in dealing with students, staff members, and parents.
Must have the ability to travel to/from various locations in the district as needed.
Utilizing leadership, advocacy, and collaboration, school counselors promote student success, provide preventive services, and respond to identified student needs by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses academic, career, and social/emotional development for all students. The school counselor works with the middle school and its feeder schools to facilitate opportunities for students to develop as citizens prepared for high school and beyond.
