Position:          Principal - Julian Middle School
Start Date:               Upon hire but no earlier than July 1, 2020
School Year:           2020-2021
Hours:                      Full-Time

Reports to:              Chief Academic & Accountability Officer and Superintendent
FLSA Status:          Exempt
Work Year:              12 month work calendar established annually by the Superintendent

Oak Park Elementary District 97 is seeking a principal for Julian Middle School for the 2020-2021 school year. The application deadline for this position is June 8, 2020.

Summary: The Principal is the instructional leader and administrative officer of the school, responsible for the instructional program, organization and operation of the school, the supervision of teachers, other personnel, and all activities.

Qualifications 

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with General Administrative or Principal Endorsement
  • Illinois Designation as Teacher Evaluator (Growth) and Principal Evaluator (Growth)
  • Master's Degree
  • Five Years of Teaching Experience
  • Administrative experience preferred

  7. Fosters a professional learning community of teachers and other professional staff to promote each student’s academic success and well-being.
  8. Engages families and the community in meaningful, reciprocal, and mutually beneficial ways to promote each student’s academic success and well-being.
  9. Manages school operations and resources to promote each student’s academic success and well-being.
  10. Acts as agents of continuous improvement to promote each student’s academic success and well-being.
